About the Summit
The World Press Freedom Day 2026 Summit in Tanzania brings together journalists, policymakers, technologists, and civil society to address the challenges and opportunities that artificial intelligence presents for the future of journalism.
Over four days, attendees will engage in high-level dialogues, expert panels, and collaborative workshops focused on the impact of AI on press freedom and media sustainability. Hosted at the Arusha International Conference Centre, the summit will feature distinguished speakers including government officials, media executives, technology experts, and representatives from international organizations. The event concludes with a cultural excursion to Ngorongoro crater.
