About the Summit

The World Press Freedom Day 2026 Summit in Tanzania brings together journalists, policymakers, technologists, and civil society to address the challenges and opportunities that artificial intelligence presents for the future of journalism.


Over four days, attendees will engage in high-level dialogues, expert panels, and collaborative workshops focused on the impact of AI on press freedom and media sustainability.
